CLARA SÁNCHEZ SALA

Born in Alicante, 1987

Presented by GALERÍA ATM

The artistic research of Clara Sánchez Sala develops connections between scientific, literary, and technological data from a poetic perspective starting from three essential themes: the fictional dimension of cartographical, rational, and metric representation; reflection on the landscape as a meeting space; and the Earth as a primitive experience of the human being. The artist from Alicante, who is based in Madrid, is a graduate in Fine Arts from the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) and completed her studies with the PHotoEspaña master’s degree on the Theory of Photography and Artistic Projects at the Universidad Europea de Madrid and a master’s degree in Research into Art and Creation from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. In 2015 she was awarded many prizes and mentions, in particular that of the V Encounter for New Artists of the City of Culture of Santiago de Compostela or Intransit.
