For Catarina Patrício, her drawings are result of the tension that emerges by cutting and assembling images and text, quotations to cinema are frequent, creating juxtaposition of frames from different cult films.

She holds a degree in painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Painting and Communication Sciences and a master’s degree in anthropology from the FCSH Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

Catarina Patricio develops her activity between artistic practice, teaching and research in contemporary culture.
