DANIEL TORRES

Valencia, Spain, 1958

PEPITA LUMIER

Daniel Torres is one of the most important figures in the Spanish comic, one of the greatest exponents of the so-called Línea Clara, which contributed to changing the graphic narrative in the 80s of the last century. His work goes far away, with an interesting background in picture and illustration.
The proposal for Drawing Room Madrid presents an architectural line worked from drawing and watercolour, which leads us to the most exquisite figurativism through the audacity and balance of compositions. In them, architecture is the centre, the tool that relate us graphically whatever happens in the space and time. It is not only the space we pass through, but also the main character of any story.
Torres has participated in national and international exhibitions both in galleries and museums.
