LILIANA LIVNEH
Argentina, 1956
Using her bare hands and fingerprints instead of brushes, Liliana Livneh daubs pigments and charcoal to produce a textured, almost tangible sensation, which sometimes includes the art of calligraphy.
The artist graduated from the National School of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires, and completed her studies in Art and Philosophy at the Faculty of Tel-Aviv. Today, from her atelier in Tel-Aviv, the artist builds her work from the non-transferable experience of living in more than one country.
Her work expresses a cultural diversity with Latin American roots, in one of the most complex scenarios of the contemporary world.
