The proposals of the Lombardy artist and philosopher Marta Roberti investigate neurosis, trauma, and other psychological, philosophical, and conceptual conflicts that she develops by means of her artistic practice. Her outstanding poetics is asserted through hundreds of drawings made by hand with which she generates video animations in which she uses the stop motion technique and which she habitually presents in the form of installations. Beyond any narrative aspiration, her interest lies in the continuous process of the dissolution and reappearance of images and also in factors related to time, movement, and repetition. Marta Roberti is based in Rome and studied Philosophy at the University of Verona and Multimedia Art at the Brera Academy in Milan, where she graduated as valedictorian in 2007. In 2014 she spent time at the Kuandu Fine Arts Museum of Taipei in Taiwan.
