Peter Freitag is a digital-analog image derangeur. In his works, he manipulates the pleasant appearance of media images by perforating their promising surfaces and providing them with open layers of meaning. His interventions interrupt the advertisment’s linear intention and functionality and thus open up new associative spaces.
