For Stefano Bonacci, the work of art is always the product of a continuous observation of reality that is resolved and takes shape through a long work of synthesis. His work goes through several phases, the final result being the one that illuminates an archetypal form, an original form that potentially contains infinite possible variations. We see his works as anachronistic machines that escape from the present time, that do not reflect popular aspects or images. They are like fossilised organisms, something like fragments of history suspended in space and time. They are concentrated in silence, in equilibrium with space. Many of his works have their origin in the observation of nature and the relationship that is created between the point of view and the observed landscape, between the interior space and the exterior space.
